Presidency of Protestant Churches from Upper Egypt: Celebrating the inauguration of Tema Church is a message of freedom for the whole world.
Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of Protestant Churches in Egypt, participated today, Thursday, in the inauguration of the Apostolic Church in Tema, Sohag Governorate, after its renewal, in the presence of Rev. Nasser Katkot, General President of the Apostolic Churches, and several of the religious and popular leaders from Sohag Governorate.
During the speech of the ceremony, Presidency of Protestant Churches said, "Today, the opening of the Apostolic Church in Tema is a true message that reflects the freedom of belief and of practice which we live in, and this is the core of the process of the rooted co-existence in Egyptian."
Rev. Jamal Fahim, pastor of the Apostolic Church in Batma, Dr. Rev. Ezzat Jeremiah, President of the Upper Egypt Council, Rev. Nasr Amin, General Secretary, Dr. Pastor Safa William, Head of Spiritual Committees of the Apostolic Church, and Rev. Joseph William, pastor of the Third Apostolic Church In Minya, Pastor Edward Finaz, pastor of the Methodist Church in Batma, Sheikh Essam Wasef, President of the Senate, Sheikh Ayad Suleiman, Treasurer of the Apostolic Church, and Pastor Elisha Fahmy, pastor of St. Rita Church participated in the celebration.
This inauguration came in the context of a tour of the President of Protestant Churches in Upper Egypt. It included the governorates of Minya, Assiut, and Sohag to participate in new priests' ordinations and the opening of a few churches.
