The Presidency of Protestant Churches in Egypt held its official celebration on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection Day, on Saturday, April 18th, from 4 PM. to 5 PM., at the Evangelical Church in Heliopolis, Cleopatra, Salah El-Din Square, Heliopolis, Cairo.
"We believe that human safety comes first. Our mission is to support together the effective efforts of the Egyptian state to combat the Coronavirus epidemic, which threatens our dear country. So, The Presidency of Protestant Churches in Egypt decided to limit the attendance of the glorious Resurrection Day celebration on a minimal number form the Denomination leaders for lives’ safety, provided that the celebration is broadcast live through local, regional and international channels. We pray, together, God to save our lives so that we pass with all our brothers, in humanity, this crisis", Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of Protestant Churches in Egypt, said in a statement on the official page of Presidency of Protestant Churches.
Worthy of mentioning, the General Evangelical Council and the Heads of other Evangelical Denominations in Egypt issued a decision on April 2nd to suspend all activities of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, at the country level, with no exception. All the meetings, weddings, celebrations, and funerals are limited to the family members until the conditions are stable.
