Jeffrey Lane Fortenberry is a member of Congress in Nebraska's first congressional district, member of the Republican Party, and the current dean of the congressional delegation in Nebraska.
Yesterday, Fortenberry, posted on social media a video in which he thanked the Egyptian state for their support to the United States of America, upon the direction of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Egypt has sent medical help to contribute to facing the outbreak of the new Coronavirus, which included medical equipment and Hazmat suits.
The video of the member of Congress emphasized the depth of historical relations between the two countries and his appreciation for this assistance, which reflects the generosity and genuineness of the great Egyptian people.
It is worth mentioning that Congressman Jeffrey Lane Fortenberry has met with the Egyptian-American dialogue delegation in the Cultures Dialogue Forum at the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services in his last tour in New York, Washington, from March 1st to 6th, 2020. The visit comes in the interest's context of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services of the international Cultures Dialogue Forum and popular diplomacy.
The delegation included Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of Protestant Churches in Egypt and Chairman of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, Mr. Syed Al Sharif, First Deputy Parliament and President of the Supervisory Syndicate, Deputy Dr. Imad Gad, Deputy Ms. Dalia Youssef, Deputy Ms. Nadia Henry, and Mr. Mahmoud Muslim, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Watan newspaper, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Qat, member of the Coordination Committee for Youth Parties, and Ms. Samira Luke, Senior Director of the Dialogue Forum at the Evangelical Commission. The most prominent dialogues were with Congressman Jeffrey Lane Fortenberry on the historical rights of the Egyptian people in the waters of the Nile, and the strong and historical relations between the two countries.
