Rev. Andrea Zaki, President of Protestant Churches in Egypt, received today, Monday, Archbishop Mar Timothy Matta El-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs Syrian Orthodox Church, and the Patriarchal of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Egypt.
Rev. Andrea Zaki, President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, said: "Relations between the Egyptian churches are full of love and appreciation, and nothing unites us except the bond of love between the churches and their heads."
Youssef Talaat, the legal advisor to the presidency of the Protestant Churches in Egypt and the representative of the Protestant Churches in the law preparation committee, said: “The visit comes within the framework of discussing a unified personal status law between representatives of Egyptian churches in order to prepare a unified family law for Copts in Egypt, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's mandate Swiftly issuance of the law as soon as possible.
