Today, Thursday, the President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, participated in the inauguration of the renovations of the Evangelical Church in Mokattam, and the silver jubilee of the ministry of Rev. Nadi Labib, the pastor of the church, in the presence of a large audience, and a number of religious, political and executive leaders of Cairo Governorate.
The President of the Protestant Churches presented the ceremony’s speech and said at the beginning of his speech: “I feel great pride and joy in the presence and participation of our Muslim brothers in today’s celebration, and Muslims are our brothers and partners in the celebrations and openings of all our churches. The Evangelical Church in Mokattam, and to the pastor of the church, Reverend Nadi Labib, for his impressive and loving service to all.
The President of the Protestant Churches added: "The Mokattam Church, under the leadership of Reverend Nadi Labib, represents the true church service, which affects and is affected by people, and that building human economic resources and real leaders comes through real effective services, encouragement and patience, and the biggest prove is the success of the Mokattam as a model of love, and which proves the authenticity of the great Egyptian people.”
The celebration program was attended by Reverend Kamal Rushdi, President of the Synod of the Nile Evangelical Presbyterians, Rev. Refaat Fathi, Secretary General of the Synod of the Nile Evangelical, Reverend Samuel Zaki, Vice President of the Synod, Rev. Refaat Fikri, President of the Cairo Synod, Reverend Suleiman Sadiq, honorary pastor of the Evangelical Church in Faggala, Reverend Ayman Sami, Pastor of the Evangelical Church in Ismailia, Elder Magdy Basali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Good Samaritan Society, Elder Sameh Philip, the elder of the Evangelical Church in Mokattam, and Reverend Kirstrger from the Evangelical Church in Sweden, along with the Better Life Praise Team.
