The President of the Protestant Churches shares in his speech: “Blessings of being fruitful in the Kingdom of God”
The most important blessings of being fruitful in our lives is being part in God's work. We all have a role, and God gave man authority over creation, but this authority is associated with responsibilities.
Fruits are associated with longsuffering, perseverance and despair, Investing in building the others' capacities, fruits are linked to overcoming challenges. The leaders and pastors are responsible for helping those around them, investing in them, training and building their capacities.
Today, Thursday, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, The President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, participated in the annual prayer conference of the Evangelical Church in Luxor, with the participation of the leaders of the Nile Synod Evangelical Churches in Egypt, and in the presence of more than 1,000 participants from various churches of the Synod in Egypt.
In the beginning of his word entitled “the Blessing of being fruitful”, the President of the Protestant Churches shared: "The church today is called - more than any other time - to be part of the effective participation and actively serving the community around, healing wounds, meeting the needs of the poor, sick, marginalized and vulnerable. Serving the community reflects love, tolerance, integration and peace among them, and these are all blessings of being fruitful.”
The President added: “The most important blessing of being fruitful in our lives is sharing in the work of the Kingdom of God. We all have a role in being fruitful, and God gave man power over creation, but this authority is associated with responsibility, and fruitfulness is linked to longsuffering, perseverance, crossing despair, overcoming challenges, investment and building in others’ lives. On the other hand, the leaders and pastors are responsible for helping those around them, investing in them, training and building their capacities”.
In the end of his speech, Reverend Dr. Andrea said: "Dears, we are called today, to prepare to receive the blessings of being fruitful in our lives and the lives of those around us. We are all partners with God in the work of his kingdom. God can use everyone for his glory. We will all enjoy the blessings of the fruits."
Reverend Kamal Rushdy, President of the Nile Evangelical Synod, Rev. Refaat Fathi, Secretary General of the Nile Evangelical Synod, Rev. Dr. Samuel Zaki, Vice President of the Synod, Reverend Samuel Adel, Head of the Council of Pastoral and Evangelistic Work, and Reverend Magdy Fouad, President of the Upper Egypt Synod, also participated in the conference. Rev. Hani Hanna Youssef, Dean of the Evangelical Seminary in Cairo, Rev. Tharwat Waheeb, Adviser of the Council for Pastoral and Evangelistic Work, Rev. Mahrous Karam, Pastor of the Evangelical Church in Luxor, and the worshipper / Eng. Nassef Sobhi.
It is noteworthy that Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, has inaugurated last month the new Evangelical Church in Luxor Governorate, in the presence of participation of Counselor Mostafa Elham, Governor of Luxor, and Mohamed Abdel Qader Khairy, Deputy Governor of Luxor, and in the presence of a number of religious and public leaders in the governorate, in addition to the participation of a large audience of the people of Luxor Governorate from different sects.
