Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, the President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt and President of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, received yesterday, Thursday, His Excellency, the Ambassador of Belgium to Cairo, at the Evangelical Qasr Dobara Church, in the presence of Rev. Dr. Sameh Morris, pastor of the church.
The President of the Protestant Churches welcomed His Excellency the Ambassador of Belgium, and a dialogue took place about the activity of the Evangelical Churches at the local, regional and international levels, including the openings of churches and the ordination of new elders and pastors in various parts of the Republic, in addition to the development and cultural role. The largest addiction recovery center in Egypt, serving all Egyptians without discrimination.
In his speech, the President of the Protestant Churches said: "Through our churches and institutions, we contribute to achieving the best for our Egyptian society, facing the challenges in our country, and working to root moderation, and the political leadership believes in it."
For his part, the ambassador of Belgium pointed out that "there is a noticeable change for the better in Egyptian society, and there is an importance for the role of religious leaders." He also praised the activity of the Evangelical Church and its institutions and its positive role within Egyptian society.
