The President of the Protestant Churches from the celebration ceremony of Port-Said Church in the presence of the Governor:
"Religious extremism complicates religious life.
Religious life is about depth, simplicity, beauty, and creativity.
Confronting extremism requires real enlightenment."

Yesterday, Thursday, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, the President of the Protestant Churches in Egypt, participated in the inauguration ceremony of Rev. Bahaa Rashad Sefin, pastor of the Protestant Presbyterian Church in Port-Said Governorate, and the ordination of elders and deacons. This event took place in the presence of His Excellency Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port-Said, and Dr. Rev. George Shaker, Vice President of the Protestant Churches, Rev. Kamal Rushdy, Head of Synod of the Nile, Bishop Tadros, Bishop of Port-Said, Rev. Makram Rafael, Head of the Evangelical Presbyterian Assembly in Delta, Rev. Rifaat Fikry, Head of the Evangelical Presbyterian Assembly in Cairo, community leaders, and several religious, political and executive leaders of Port-Said Governorate.
The President of the Protestant Churches presented the ceremony's speech.
He said,
"I am delighted for the presence and participation of our Muslim brothers and families in today's celebration. We always cherish the image of Egyptian coexistence and the participation of Egyptians in all religious occasions, "Egyptian and national." This atmosphere is taking place in light of the constant keenness of the political leadership to support the values of Egyptian citizenship and the authenticity of coexistence.
I also extend my sincere congratulations to the children of the Protestant Church in Port-Said Governorate and my sincere thanks to Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port-Said. He adds to our joy by coming to share us."
Zaki continued:
"Religious extremism is a dangerous disease that complicates religious life and creates a gap between what we learn and do. We must remember that religious life, my brothers, is about depth, simplicity, beauty, and creativity. Confronting extremism requires real enlightenment."
For his part, the Governor of Port-Said said, "I extend my sincere congratulations to all the loyal people of Port-Said today, on the occasion of the celebrations of Port-Said Protestant Church.
Today, we experience the same happiness that unites us all. The Egyptians are great people eager to express their genuine and authentic love.
I also welcome Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Protestant Churches, and all the guests.”
Among the attendance were Sheikh Muhammad Mustafa Afifi, Director of Advocacy in the Azharite Port Said District, Sheikh Dr. Massad Youssef, Director of Advocacy in Port-Said Endowment Directorate, Member of Parliament Ahmed Farghali, Member of Parliament, Amal Asfour, Member of Parliament, and Represent Member of Parliament Atef Alam El-Din, Senator.
Also, Father Samuel Fayez, Head of Saint Eugenie's Coptic Catholic Monastery, Father Engineer Salam Anis Saba, Head of the Greek Orthodox Churches in Port-Said, Professor Walid Issa, Coordinator of the Egyptian Family House in Port-Said, and His Eminence Sheikh Salah Ajwa, Inspection Director in the Port-Said Wa'az District Al-Azhariya, Sheikh Imad Haiba, Director of Administration Affairs at the Port-Said Endowments Directorate, Sheikh Abdel Rahman Al-Sayyad, Port-Said Wa'az area, and Sheikh Hamada Yousef, Port-Said Endowments Directorate attended the celebration.
